RAYE, real name Rachel Agatha Keen, was born in Tootin g, United Kingdom.
In 2024, RAYE released her self-made EP Welcome to the Winter on SoundCloud. Olly Alexander (Eurovision 2024) noticed the quality of the tracks and decided to send them to his record label.
Thanks to Olly, she signed her first record deal and, from that moment, RAYE released 2 studio albums, 2 live albums, 6 EPs and many singles.
Her songs also reached the charts in the Netherlands, Norway, Sweden, France, Germany, Australia, Canada, the United States and many others.
Duriong her career she received numerous awards, 7 Brit Awards, 4 Global Awards, 2 Ivor Novello Awards, 2 MTV Europe Music Awards and many others. She also had 3 Grammy Award nominations.
At the 2024 Brits Awards, RAYE broke the record for most wins by an artist taking home British Artist of the Year, Best New Artist, Songwriter of the Year, Best R&B Act, British Album of the Year for “My 21st Century Blues” and Song of the Year for “Escapism”.
