Artist bio:
MONA, real name Simona Simeonova Petrova, was born in Kyustendil, Bulgaria.
She was already writing her first songs as a singer-songwriter at the age of 16 standing out for its modern style but with folkloric elements.
At 17 she partecipated in the talent show Bulgaria’s Got Talent and released her first single called “Galeni” in 2021.
In 2025 her single “МАЛЕ”, sung in a duet with ROBI, was the most played single on Bulgarian radio for a full 8 consecutive weeks.
In 2026 she took part in the national selections for the Eurovision Song Contest and ended up in third place.
MONA is the voice in the soundtrack of the movie Avatar: The Way of Water and the video game Mortal Kombat.
