Artist bio:
Konstantinos Christoforou was born in Limassol, Cyprus.
He released his first single “Tora pou milas” in 1994 at the age of 17.
In 1996 he won the Cypriot national selection for the Eurovision Song Contest with the song “Mono gia mas”. It wouldn’t be the only time he would represent his country at Eurovision.
On that occasion his first album titled “O, ti m’afora” was also released. It was certified triple platinum for sales; it was the first time a Cypriot artist reached that milestone.
In 1999 he was chosen as the lead singer of the boyband ONE along with four other singers, achieving huge success even in Greece.
Konstantinos, Philippos Konstantinos Philippou, Argyris Nastopoulos, Dimitris Chaniotis and Panos Tserpes were chosen by Cypriot TV to represent Cyprus at the Eurovision Song Contest 2022 with the song “Gimme”.
In 2003, Konstantinos decided to leave the band to focus on his solo career with great success.
In 2005 he returned to represent his country at Eurovision with the song “Ela, Ela (Come baby)”.
In the meantime he also devoted himself to a career as a songwriter for other singers like Anna Vissi, Stella Georgiadou, Yiannis Savvidakis, Eleni Dimou and Yiannis Parios.
In 2020 ONE got back together and for the occasion recorded the single “Billy Bam Bam” which was then followed by others.
Konstantinos has already represented OGAE Cyprus in 2020.
ONE is a boy band that was born from Giorgos Theofanous’ idea in 1999.
Its members were Konstantinos Christoforou, Philippos Konstantinos Philippou, Argyris Nastopoulos, Dimitris Chaniotis and Panos Tserpes.
They were the first boyband from the Greek-Cypriot area, stringing together a series of big hits in both countries.
ONE were chosen by Cypriot TV to represent Cyprus at the Eurovision Song Contest 2022 with the song “Gimme”.
After leaving Konstantinos Christoforou’s group in 2003, the new soloist was Demos Beke, who represented Cyprus at Eurovision 1993 together with Kyriakos Zymboulakis.
With as many as 5 albums under their belt, the band broke up in 2005.
