Artist bio:
KAJ is a finnish swedish band from Vörå, Finland.
The trio in made up by Kevin Holmström, Axel Åhman and Jakob Norrgård has known each other since school days.
In 2009 they decided to form KAJ using the initials of their names and in 2012 they produced on their own their first album titled “Professionella pjasalappar”.
To date, KAJ have released a total of 7 albums and numerous singles.
In 2025, they take part in Melodifestivalen with the song “Bara Bada Bastu”, somewhat surprisingly winning the contest and representing Sweden at Eurovision in Basel.
Thanks to “Bara Bada Bastu”, the band also won numerous awards such as Song of the Year, Group of the Year and Choreography of the Year.
Since KAJ were born in the western part of Finland, an area where Swedish is also spoken, the band is part of the Finnish-Swedish cultural sphere and usually performs mainly in Swedish with lyrics in the Vörå dialect as well.
